Protect Herring. Defend Indigenous Rights. Uphold Justice in the Salish Sea.
In-person fundraising event and discussion about herring conservation, Indigenous justice, and protecting the Salish Sea. The W̱SÁNEĆ Hereditary Chiefs are standing up for their herring relatives, and we need everyone pulling in that same direction.
If you are passionate about environmental stewardship, supporting Indigenous justice, and share a vision of the Salish Sea teaming with an abundance of life, then we encourage you to attend this fundraiser!
The evening will include wonderful insights from the presenters, time to get to know each other, and ways you can help support the cause. Light nourishment will be provided.
This fundraiser is a ticketed event. Your contribution will go towards supporting the Herring Rising Campaign. Tickets prices will have tiers, including $15, $20, $30, and $50. You choose how much you want to pay from these tiers. There are a limited number of $15 tickets available on a first come first serve basis.

I am a retired fishery officer that participated in over thirty years of commercial herring fishery activities. My service occured over the majority of the Brtish Colombia herring managment areas. I was involved in all levels
of of commercial fishing including Reduction Fishing, Food & Bait Fishing, Roe Herring Operations, All types of Ponding Fisheries Activities.
I was the DFO person responsible for herring fishing management operations in Area 14 for five years from 1979 until 1984; Area 23 & 24 from 1985 – 1990. I participated in many other commcercial herring fishery actions.’
I also supervised numerous stock asessment and spawning activities all over the B.C. Coast from Area 1 to Area 24. I f you wsant further information or assistance please contact me at 778-999-2364
